Thanks for stopping by my campaign page. I am honored to have the support of so many members across the Commonwealth. I hope I can include your support amongst my "Legions of Leprechauns."

Just got back from Frankfort, VFW Post 4075. I attendied the ceremonial signing of veteran related legislation by Gov. Steve Beshear. Our VFW comrades and sisters were joined by members of other VSO's (Veteran Service Organizations) to witness the signing of legislation that provides enhanced veteran hiring preference......... and veteran fee-waived access to State Parks for our disabled veterans. My congratulations to all who fought long and hard to pass these two bills into law. I was also recently at the Frankfort VFW attending the Legislative Dinner. As always, the membership put on a wonderful event. PDC Carlos Pugh did a great job as MC for the night. As the National Legislative Chairman, I hope that you stay engaged in our efforts to secure pro-veteran legislation, both locally and nationally. Click to see the pictures

The 9th will host a Golf Scramble in support of the campaign on May 15th. The tee time is 2pm to allow our members to travel from all points to participate. Comrade Terry Connelly is the chairman of this great event. Thanks Terry, you have been a great comrade. Terry is also donating several rifles for use as a fundraiser.

The "Cruise Raffle" is also continuing and doing great. Win a chance to accompany the Commander-in-Chief, Tommy Tradewell and an estrimated 200+ other VFW comrades and Ladies Aux members on a 7 day Alaska cruise for two. The cruise onboard the NCL Star, departs July 24th and includes airfare. Tickets are $20/each and can be obtained by calling Jim MacDonald at VFW HQ 502-635-2638. Don't miss the boat - the raffle will be drawn at the VFW Spring Conference Banquet on March 13th. Winner need not be present to win. (Lic # 00427)

The Spring Conference is just around the corner. The campaign will host an "Chinese Auction." I hope that you can attend, and/or donate an item to the auction.

February will take my travels south to Nashville, TN to attend the Tenn VFW Pow-Wow (VFW conference). Past VFW CINC, John Furgess was a big proponent of Kentucky and Tennessee members attending each others functions. This will also provide an opportunity to see our very own John Ranson perform in the capacity of Nat'l Council Member.

I will also be with John in early March attending the VFW Washington Conference.

Be sure to visit my Facebook page, VFW 1170 and Department of Kentucky web page for additional campaign updates.

If you would like to host a campaign event at your post, click the contact gutton below or give Jim MacDonald a call at State HQ 502-635-2638 for planning information.

Thanks, and let's all continue to support and advance our support and love for our veterans and the VFW.

Regards, Brian Duffy
